End the Year with Impact
Why Your Support Matters
As Thanksgiving approaches, we are reminded of the importance of gathering together, sharing a meal and giving thanks for the blessings in our lives. At the Faunteroy Center, we believe that no family should have to miss out on the warmth and tradition of the holiday. We focus on our families in the neighborhood and some that may not have so we sit down to offer family engagement to our families over a Nice Thanksgiving meal. This year, we are hosting our annual Community Thanksgiving dinner, where we expect to serve over 60+ children and their families. For many of our guest; this meal will not only be their holiday celebration, but also a source of comfort, connection and hope.

PAYING IT FORWARD High school students are required to complete community service hours as a graduation requirement. But is does not have to be a chore. Faunteroy creates a variety of opportunities, spanning different interests that keeps our youth coming back and securing double and sometimes triple their required hours.

Youth in Ward 7
Schools do a great job of supporting our youth until 3:30pm. But some families need additional support. One of Faunteroy’s services to the community is providing a safe space with structured, supervised activity from 3:30 - 6:30PM afterschool and from 9:00am - 4:00pm when school is closed.
